Yiting Wang

PhD Researcher · Karolinska Institutet

I am a PhD student at the Eye Movement and Vision Lab, Karolinska Institutet (KI). My main supervisor is Dr. Mattias Nilsson, and I am co-supervised by Prof. Wei-Long Zheng, and Prof. Tony Pansell. My PhD is funded by the Promobilia Foundation.

My research sits at the intersection of deep learning, multimodal learning, and human physiological signals. I currently focus on using deep learning to understand fixational eye movements and their clinical relevance — specifically for early detection of Parkinson's Disease.

I hold a Master's degree from Cornell University (ECE) and a Bachelor's from Shanghai University. Prior to my PhD, I conducted research on EEG-based emotion recognition at the BCMI Lab, SJTU, and worked as a software engineer at Siemens Industry Software.
